"Portrait of 22" is a self-portrait of my 22-self as a celebration of an age full of uncertainties. Created in the beginning of the Covid outbreak, most of the footages was filmed at my parents home, and my own room.
This artwork is inspired by the song "22" by TRANG, a Vietnamese artist. Resonating my mentality stage at the time with the lyrics of the song, I decided to cover the song and visualized the lyrics within my own living situation.
This project was filmed by my younger sister, Nancy Mai, as I forced her to retake so many shots of me.
